Hi, my name is Kevin Creed. I started working on cars when I was 16 years old - I am now 54. I couldn't afford to pay someone to do the body or mechanical work on my cars so I started learning myself - I also attended Tri County Tech in Eldon, Missouri. As time progressed other people started asking me to work on their cars and in 1982 I decided to go into business full time - opening Creed's Garage, which then became Creed's Garage & Auto Body, Creed's Auto Body, Creed's Auto Body & Rod Shop, Creed's Rod Shop, and then Creed's Rod & Custom LLC.

After 22 years my body started telling me that it was getting tired of doing this kind of physical labor so I closed shop, went back to school, and got a degree in Network Administration. I am now a Computer Information Technologist at the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

I bought my first rod in 1974, it was a '38 Chevy coupe (photos), the second was a '37 Chevy sedan (photos) and my third one is a '36 Chevy coupe (photos). I joined the National Street Rod Association in 1976 and went to my first Street Rod Nationals that year in Tulsa, Oklahoma. What a blast! It was hot, around 110 degrees at the fairgrounds, but we didn't mind that much because we knew there was a pool waiting for us at the motel and lots of cold beer. Imagine that!
