I worked on finishing the body work and straightening out the rest of Superior Glasswork's screw-ups this week. The doors and jambs didn't line up so I added and subtracted fiberglass where needed. It's the fine tuning, the detailing of every square inch, that makes the difference between a show car and an average driver and when you start with a body that is in such poor condition to start with it takes hundreds of hours to detail it out.
I wonder if the mold this body came out of was made back in the 1960's? That would explain why the body started out being such a piece of crap. It's sad that I've had to spend so much time repairing and aligning everything on this car. You'd think that this being the 21st Century that companies could produce bodies that were almost perfect. I'm sure there are a few that do but it would have made my life a lot easier if Superior Glassworks was one of them that did.
