The horn didn't work when I first got the car and I found out why - someone had taken the turn signal assembly out at some time and had pinched one of the horn wires when they put it back together. A little shrink tube fixed that problem.
I finally got the dash put back together, and in the car, but still need to install the console - I'm waiting on some of the dash and console pieces to be re-chromed. As you can see by the pictures, someone beat the crap out of the bottom of the steering column to try and tighten up the clearance between the shift tube and column tube. The lower shift bushing was gone out of the column so the shift tube just flopped around and, needless to say, the shifter was very sloppy.
This old car was well used and abused over the years and completely worn out.
